Delhi: Woman at Rashtrapati Bhavan tests positive for coronavirus

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Tuesday stated that one coronavirus positive case has been found in Rashtrapati Bhavan. Meanwhile, 125 people have been put under self-quarantine in an order to contain the spread of coronavirus.

He also said that "There are a total of 2081 positive cases in Delhi, out of these 78 cases were found yesterday. These 78 positive cases were found out of the 1397 samples tested yesterday. Out of all the patients admitted at hospitals, 26 are in ICU and 5 on the ventilator." He added that "Rapid testing started in Nabi Karim area yesterday, 74 people were tested. All of them tested negative."

Meanwhile, the border between Delhi and Ghaziabad has been sealed to contain the spread of coronavirus. The decision was taken by the Ghaziabad District Magistrate after 6 people, who had come from Delhi, tested positive for coronavirus.

Likewise, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lt Governor Anil Baijal held meeting with District Collector and Deputy Commissioner of Police of all districts of Delhi via video conferencing over the current situation arising out of the novel coronavirus.

Coronavirus in India

The total number of coronavirus (COVID 19) cases in India has reached 18,601 after 1336 fresh positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Tuesday morning. Of total 18,601 cases, 3252 have been cured and discharged while the death toll has reached 590 after 47 new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
