Love blossoms even at the time of crisis. Bob and Nancy Shellard, an elderly couple from Connecticut, celebrated their anniversary from a distance in Stafford Springs on Saturday. Nancy Shellard was at her nursing home on the anniversary day. Due to coronavirus precautions, Bob Shellard was not allowed to visit his wife in her Connecticut nursing home. For the first time in their married life, Nancy was spending a special day away from Bob. However, Bob was so determined to meet his wife that he stood outside her nursing home’s window and held up a sign that said "I've loved you 67 years and still do. Happy Anniversary." Meanwhile, Nancy was seen waving and blowing kisses from the nursing home's window. Meanwhile, Bob said that it makes him feel bad because he wanted her with him and he knew she can't. Also, Bob and Nancy's daughter Laura said that she learned a lot from her parents and all that they have shared in their 67 years of marriage. "It's an example for all of us. So we have learned a lot from them and I can only hope that I have half as much as what they have shared over so many years. They have always been an inspiration to us," Laura added.
