Covid-19: India records 15,815 fresh cases in 24 hours

New Delhi, August 13: India logged 15,815 fresh cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, the daily case positivity rate has been recorded at 4.36 per cent and the active caseload in the country stands at 1,19,264. The active Covid-19 cases account for 0.27 per cent of the total cases. The country's Covid-19 death toll reached 5,26,996, the government data added. Covid-19: India logs 21,566 new cases in 24 hours The Ministry recently reported that 20,018 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovered patients in the country has risen to 4,35,93,112. The current recovery rate is 98.54 percent. The weekly positivity rate has now reached 4.79 percent. Coronavirus Update: India sees marginal rise in Covid-19 cases In the last 24 hours, 24,43,064 Covid-19 doses were administered as part of the country's nationwide vaccination drive. The total number of vaccine shots administered in the country totalled 207.71 crore, with 93.74 crore being the second dose and 11.84 crore being the precaution dose. Over 100 million precautionary doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have now been administered in India, according to the health ministry.
