Arvind Kejriwal on Covid-19 vaccination drive in Delhi: As the Centre is all set to initiate nationwide vaccination drives, it has been revealed that as many as three lakh healthcare workers will get the jab on the first day of the massive Phase 1 COVID-19 vaccination drive at over 2,934 sites across India.
The Covid-19 vaccination drive is all set to start on January 16.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the roadmap for the vaccination drive in Delhi.
He said that “Vaccination will be done at 81 locations in Delhi on January 16. Around 100 people will be vaccinated at each of these locations in a day.”
Vaccination will be done on four days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, he added.
He further said that “We will begin with 81 centres, it will then be increased to 175 in a few days and then to 1000 centres across Delhi.
“So far, we have received 2,74,000 doses of vaccine from the Centre. Each person will be administered two doses and Centre provides 10 percent extra vaccine, taking damage into account,” he added.
“So the 2,74,000 doses will be sufficient for around 1,20,000 health workers,” he said on Covid-19 vaccination drive Delhi.
