COVID-19 Vaccination: India overtakes USA in number of vaccine doses administered
Coronavirus India Updates: India has achieved another milestone in COVID-19 vaccination as it overtakes USA in total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered, the Union Health Ministry stated on Monday, June 28.
As per the coronavirus updates given by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 46,148 new COVID-19 cases, 58,578 recoveries and 979 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has increased to 3,02,79,331 while the recoveries have gone up to 2,93,09,607.

The Active cases in India has reached 5,72,994 while the death toll in the country has increased to 3,96,730.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that India has administered 32,36,63,297 doses of COVID-19 vaccines and overtakes the USA.
Meanwhile, the daily recoveries in India continue to outnumber the daily new cases of COVID-19 for the 46th consecutive day.
The Recovery Rate in the country has increased to 96.80 percent while the weekly positivity rate remains below 5 percent, which was currently at 2.81 percent.
The Daily positivity rate in India stands at 2.94 percent, less than 5 percent for 21 consecutive days.
