Covid strain in India: 141 people found infected with UK Covid-19 strain so far

Covid strain in India: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday announced that the total number of persons found positive with a mutant strain of coronavirus, first found in the UK, has increased to 141. Earlier on Sunday, no case regarding the infection was reported. The mutant strain of coronavirus was first reported from the UK after which several countries had decided to suspend flights to and from the UK. Meanwhile, India has crossed a crucial milestone in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The daily new cases have touched a new low on Tuesday. The total number of people vaccinated is more than double the number of Active Cases. India’s Recovery Rate has crossed past 96.66 percent as the total number of recoveries has reached 1,02,28,753 while the number of Active Cases in the country stands at 2,08,012.
