Punjab DSP dies of gunshot wound during student protest in Jaitu
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Baljinder Singh Sandhu shoot himself dead in Jaitu, Faridkot. IGP, Bathinda Range MS Chhina confirmed the death of the DSP Baljinder Singh Sandhu. The incident took place at the Regional Campus of the Punjabi University at Jaitu. The deceased cop had gone to the spot to diffuse confrontation between two groups of students where one group allegedly started levelling charges against the police for supporting the rival group. The gunman is critically injured. -PTC News
