Dalip Kaur Tiwana Death: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday extended condolences on the sad demise of Punjabi novelist Dalip Kaur Tiwana. The eminent Punjabi writer Dalip Kaur Tiwana, 84, passed away on Friday at a private hospital in Mohali. As per report, she was suffering from an acute congestion of the lungs. While sharing the condolences, Sukhbir Singh Badal said in a tweet, "Pained to hear about the passing away of noted Punjabi novelist and academician Dr Dalip Kaur Tiwana Ji. The Padma Shri recipient and Sahitya Akademi awardee Dr Tiwana was the voice of downtrodden and rural folk.
