Daughter of Barnala farmer bagged third rank in CBSE Class 10 exams
Money, AC rooms, world class infrastructure and lots of money to pay post school tuition fee? Well that's not what you need to win for yourself the third rank in all India CBSE Class 10 exams.
Proves daughter of a Barnala farmer, who bagged third rank in CBSE Class 10 exams, the results of which were declared on Tuesday. Kaur, who hails from a small village Bazidke Khurd, has scored 497 marks out of 500 and has topped the state.
“Deep down, I had a feeling that I will top the exams, but I didn’t share it with anyone as I thought people will poke fun at me. I’m glad that my efforts have paid off ,” says Taranpreet, a student of Broadway Public School, Manal village.
“I did not take tuition. Our schoolteachers and my aunt Ramandeep Kaur always helped me in studies. I want to crack the civil services exam and will begin preparing for it,” adds the topper.
Her mother Harpreet Kaur, a class 12 passout, said: “My girl has overcome many obstacles.“
