The decision on returning in congress will be taken by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Sunil Jakhar, said Jagmeet Brar, here on Friday.
Brar said that he is not going to join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
He said, ‘Chaudhary Birender Singh has been an old friend, however Birendra came to meet me at the behest of his party’s high command.’
‘But if any invitation comes from any mainstream party then it can be considered. Punjab needs a ‘special package’ today and if someone takes this step, I will welcome it,’ he added.
Brar, a former Congress Working Committee member and AICC general secretary, had quit the Congress ahead of the state Assembly elections and had joined TMC which failed to create a splash in Punjab.
