'I will file a Defamation case against Navjot Singh Sidhu and other MLAs,' Kulwant Singh
'I am extremely happy and thankful to the judiciary for taking the right decision, Mohali Mayor Kulwant Singh said after High Court quashed show cause notice issued by Local bodies department. 'The decision is historic and has released me from a lot of stress and bad name,' he added. 'I was highly burdened by the allegations as I was pulled into something that i was never a part. They tried to insult me by putting fake allegations but I am glad the judiciary stood by the truth. I am highly relieved and the truth has finally won,' Kulwant Singh added. Talking about a defamation case, he said, 'I will file a defamation case for all the insult, and trouble I have gone through in the last one and a half month'. 'The allegations were put by Navjot Singh Sidhu and other local MLA's, I had told my lawyer earlier that we will take an action against them for all the allegations,' he concluded. In a major move, High Court today quashed show cause notice issued by Local bodies department to Mohali Mayor Kulwant Singh. Justice Mrs Daya Chaudhary, pronounced the order and allowed the petition of Kulwant Singh, Mayor, Mohali. The court also quashed the show cause notice issued by respondent the state of Punjab. The Punjab Government had issued a show-cause notice to Kulwant Singh for taking away his councillorship for alleged misuse of power in the purchase of a tree-pruning machine and causing loss to state exchequer. -PTC News
