Delhi: 3 injured after Honda City rams into a water cannon vehicle Three people were seriously injured after their car rammed into a water cannon vehicle parked outside Parliament Street police station in New Delhi. The man behind the wheel of the Honda City car was not drunk but was speeding and driving in the wrong lane, said Madhur Verma, deputy commissioner of police, New Delhi. The impact of the accident was such that the front and left portions of the Honda City was left completely mangled. The injured Arun, 29, Priyanka, 27, and Krishan, 27 are residents of south Delhi’s Govindpuri, Krishan lives in east Delhi’s Sonia Vihar. “Arun deals in second hand cars. The Honda City involved in the accident too is a used car. Arun was behind the wheel of the car which was headed towards Bangla Saheb Gurdwara when the accident took place at 5.10am. Arun and Priyanka were sitting in the front while the other two occupied the rear seat,” said an investigator. The injured were rushed to AIIMS trauma centre in an auto-rickshaw. Police received a call about the accident from the hospital authorities. “Priyanka suffered the most injuries and has fractured her ribs. Arun and Krishan escaped with fractures in their limbs,” said the officer. -PTC News
