Delhi Air Quality drops again, likely to get worst on Diwali

The air quality of Delhi has dropped to its worst this season on Saturday, due to lower speed of the wind affecting the dispersion of dust particles, just a day ahead of Diwali. The system of Air quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) stated that the decrease in wind speed has started to influence the air quality of Delhi by decreasing the ventilation coefficients and dispersion. Meanwhile, it has been predicted that the air quality will get even worse on Sunday i.e. Diwali. The AQI is expected to be at around 324. The AQI level between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, while 401 and 500 ‘severe’. -PTC News
