Delhi auto driver dies trying to save woman, baby from drowning A 30-year-old auto driver proved that not all superheroes wear capes and drive luxury cars. Some wear their uniform and drive auto rickshaws. Auto Rickshaw driver Pawan Shah was plying auto-rickshaw for three-four years. He had earlier helped many passengers, but this time, he gave up his life to save the mother-son-duo from drowning in a canal. Without thinking for a second, he jumped into the water to save them. He shouted and asked for help. Three passers-by identified as Rajveer, Jamil and Sanjeev came and formed a human chain and rescued the mother-son duo. But unfortunately couldn’t save Pawan and he went with the currents of the water. The passers-by informed the Jaitpur police station, following which the police launched the rescue/ search operation. The rescued woman and the baby were rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. Pawan is survived by his mother and two brothers who are currently studying.
