Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Questions Dangerous Spurt in Crimes, Delhi Police responds with reports

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has questioned the safety and security of Delhi Public after an elderly couple and their helper was allegedly murdered at their residence in Vasant Vihar. Arvind Kejriwal said, that the city witnessed nine murders in just 24 hours. Also, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has blamed BJP MPs, the lieutenant governor, and the Union Home Ministry, to which Delhi Police reports. https://twitter.com/ArvindKejriwal/status/1142776819780734976 Delhi Chief Minister in a tweet said and I quote, "Delhi is witnessing a dangerous spurt in serious crimes. An elderly couple and their domestic help murdered in Vasant Vihar. Nine murders reported in the last 24 hours across the city. Whose door should be knocked for safety & security of Delhiites ?". Likewise, Delhi Police responded with stats and uploaded a graph showing 10% decrease in murders as compared to 2018 and 22% decrease in crimes committed against senior citizens. https://twitter.com/DelhiPolice/status/1142822028631670785 Delhi Police in a tweet said and I quote, "Also two of the three incidents of murder which Hon’ble CM @ArvindKejriwal is referring have been committed by family members or persons living in the house. Both cases are solved & accused arrested. In the Vasant Vihar case also entry is friendly and police has vital leads." Also dismissing Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's claims, the police force said that two of the three incidents of murder were referred to be committed by family members and also the accused in both the cases are already arrested. -PTC News
