Delhi Road Accident: In a major incident, a constable was killed and another was injured after a speeding car driven by a teenager rammed into their patrolling vehicle in north Delhi on Monday, the police said. The patrolling vehicle overturned after a speeding car rammed into it and skidded for 10-15 feet. As per the report, ahead Constable Wazir Singh (50) got stuck inside the vehicle. Reportedly, the teenager has been identified as Tushar Gupta (19) who was returning home after meeting a friend. The teenager was driving a Honda City car that rammed into the patrolling vehicle near Khalsa College at around 1.30 am. Another constable Amit, who was driving the vehicle, rescued Singh with the help of the people. Singh was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Monika Bhardwaj said. Haryana sees nearly 18 percent fall in road accidents in June In an accident, Amit received injuries and was discharged from hospital, Bhardwaj said. Tushar Gupta is a college student who is a resident of Model Town. He was also injured in an accident. Meanwhile, he had been arrested, the DCP said. Likewise, the police has registered a case under Sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 279 (rash driving), and 337 (causing hurt by an act of endangering life) of the Indian Penal Code. -PTC News
