Delhi govt. raises prize money for Asiad medal winners Delhi government increased the prize money for the state players who won medals at the recently-concluded 18th edition of the Asian games. Arvind kejriwal felicitated a ceremony organized in the honor of the players. There he announced that the prize money for the state players has been increased. Earlier the prize money for the gold medalist was 20 lakh which is now increase to 1 crore. For the silver medal winners, the amount is now changed to 75 lakhs instead of 14 lakhs. And for the bronze medals winners prize money has been changed to 50 lakhs instead of 10 lakhs. Arvind kejriwal said, "We have raised reward amount for winners of #AsianGames.Reward for gold medalists raised from Rs.20 lakhs to Rs.1 Crore, for silver medalists from Rs.14 lakhs to Rs.75 lakhs, for bronze medalists from Rs.10 lakhs to Rs.50 lakhs." "Also, we will arrange employment for them," he added. Kejriwal further said that the Delhi government would work more towards in providing the best sports facilities to the sports people. -PTC NEWS
