New Delhi, September 10: At least three shooters of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gang have been arrested from Sector 36 in Rohini area, police said on Saturday.
According to sources, the accused were arrested after a brief encounter with police as they tried to flee the site. Police also recovered three pistols and live cartridges from their possession, they added.
The arrested shooters have been identified as Naveen, Manoj and Karambir. Sources said that despite being warned to surrender at the time of apprehension, the accused fired 3/4th rounds at the police and tried to flee away.
Reportedly, one bullet hit the bulletproof jacket of a member of the raiding party. All three arrested accused were in regular contact with Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar via the Signal app.
Goldy Brar arranged money, shelter, and weapons for them to eliminate a target, which is only revealed to them on the day of execution, police said. All three arrested persons are wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a liquor vendor store in Jharsa, Gurugram.
