Delhi Police releases pictures of alleged ‘rioters’ in connection with Red Fort violence

Delhi Police has released pictures of alleged ‘rioters’ in connection with violence at the Red Fort in Delhi during the farmers’ tractor march on Republic Day (January 26). The Delhi Police has intensified the investigation into the Republic Day violence. Likewise, 44 suspects have been identified using facial analytics. Of these, around 42 were identified with the help of CCTV footage provided by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), while the rest of them were identified from Whatsapp videos. Meanwhile, the police has launched a manhunt to nab the alleged 'rioters' while two people have been arrested so far. The cops stated that some of the suspects fled from the national capital while others have gone into hiding. Several suspects have rushed back to their respective places, the police said. One of the two accused arrested has been identified as Dharmendra Singh Harman who was captured in video footage at the Red fort on January 26 when the violence broke out. Meanwhile, Harman's role in the hoisting of a religious flag at the Red fort is also being ascertained.
