Coronavirus Update: The total number of coronavirus cases in Delhi has increased to 3,64,341 after 4,853 new COVID-19 cases were reported from the national capital on Tuesday. Delhi reported 4,853 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the biggest single-day spike in coronavirus cases, according to the Delhi government data issued on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries in the national capital has surged to 3,30,112 after 2,722 new recoveries were reported from Delhi. 44 new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll in the national capital to 6,356. The active coronavirus cases in Delhi has increased to 27,873. Earlier in the day, while giving coronavirus vaccine update, Balram Bhargava, DG, ICMR, had said that "3 vaccine candidates were in different stages of clinical testing- Covaxin got approval for phase III trials, Cadila also progressing with phase-II trials and Serum is completing phase 2b trial and has an ongoing trial in Brazil, South Africa and US."
