Delhi: Corona positive patient sexually assaulted 14-year-old girl inside COVID care centre

In a major incident, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at a COVID-19 facility in Chhatarpur, New Delhi. According to the information, the girl and the accused, both are coronavirus patients. As per the report, the accused has been identified as a 19-year-old. Allegedly, the incident took place at the Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre which is located in Chhatarpur. The COVID care centre was established for mild and asymptomatic patients. The survivor and the accused were admitted to the facility with their relatives. Meanwhile, it has been reported that the teenager has also claimed that an aide of the accused has filmed the whole incident. The incident took place when the 14-year-old had gone to use the washroom where she was allegedly assaulted. Likewise, the teenager girl shared the ordeal with her relative who informed the ITBP official. Then, the police was informed about the incident. The cops stated that the associate had not sexually assaulted the teenager. The accused have been booked under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. -PTC News
