They immediately called the police and registered a case. During the investigation, the police found out that Babloo’s friends Prashant, Ankit and Inderjeet were last seen with him on December 10. The trio at first told the police that they met him in the evening and later Babloo left. During the investigation, police found a very recent injury on Inderjeet caused by a sharp object. Police officials found it suspicious and asked him to explain his injury, which he was unable to. And gradually, all the accused confessed.
Prashant was a stockbroker and had lent some money to Babloo, which he refused to repay. The remaining two, Ankit and Inderjeet also had the same issue with Babloo. The trio then made a plan to kill Babloo. They called Babloo to the abandoned plot on the pretext of a party. Prashant arranged two coconut choppers and attacked him when he was completely drunk. They left the body there to rot. Police recovered blood stained clothes and coconut choppers from the accused.
