Amritsar (Punjab), October 24: On the festival of Diwali, devotees in Punjab were seen taking a holy dip in the Golden Temple's Holy Sarovar.
At the golden temple, devotees were seen lighting lamps and praying.
To commemorate Diwali, the entire Golden Temple was lavishly decorated with lights and garlands.
The festival of lights commemorates Lord Ram's 14-year exile from Ayodhya.
People all over the country celebrate the festival in special ways, such as making rangolis, hosting Diwali parties at their homes, and preparing delectable cuisines and sweets. However, pollution concerns have hampered the festival's enduring appeal since a big number of people burst crackers.
