Doctor kills partner in Nepal, keeps her social media alive for months to deceive family
The police has arrested a leading doctor in Gorakhpur on Monday for allegedly murdering his ex-wife and kept her virtually alive for months to deceive her family.

The accused DP Singh and his accomplices Pramod Kumar Singh and Desh Deepak, the doctor’s driver were arrested in the case. The police recovered the body of Rajeshwari Srivastava (30) on June 8. It was not able to recognise the body as DP Singh took all her identity cards and mobile phone before leaving Nepal on June 6.

The police only had her picture, through which the Uttar Pradesh police managed to identify Rajeshwari. DP Singh kept her social media alive by updating her profile for months. He also kept her mobile active at various locations to mislead the police and relatives. The family of Rajeshwari lodged a missing and abduction complaint against her second husband on June 24.

The Inspector General of Police, Amitabh Yash, briefed the media about the whole case. According to them, DP Singh got Rajeshwari drunk and pushed Rakhi off a top hill in Pokhra in Nepal on June 6. The autopsy reports revealed the traces of alcohol in her blood. The doctor made her mobile travelled from Nepal to Guwahati. It confused the police even more.

But, police got its clue to solve the mystery following her exit from a WhatsApp group. After which the police intensified the search.
