After watching Virat Kohli’s match-winning knock of 94 runs against West Indies in the first T20 of the three-match T20 series, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan said one should not mess with the Indian skipper. Bachchan used his dialogue from the movie ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ to describe Kohli’s attitude.
T 3570 –

‘Yaar, how many times I have told you this, don’t tease Viral Kohli, but you did not listen to me, now see he gave you a perfect response, look at the Windies face, how much he rattled them (due respects to Anthony Bhai),” Amitabh Bachchan tweeted in Hindi.
During the match, Virat Kohli was imitating trademark celebration style of West Indies bowler Kesrick William. In the 16th over of India’s innings, Kohli was seen imitating Williams. The ball of the 16th over was dispatched to the boundary. The next ball was flicked for a six on the leg side. then, Kohli brought out the notebook celebration and Williams looked on in amusement.
In 2017, Williams did notebook celebration when he took the wicket of Virat Kohli and Kohli remembered it. In the first T20 match, Viral Kohli-led Team India chased a huge total of 208 runs with eight balls to spare.
“No, it is not the CPL. It happened to me in Jamaica when he got me so I thought I would tick a few in the notebook as well but all good, smiles out there, in the end, that’s what you want to see, good competitive cricket but at the end of the day we shake hands, that’s what cricket is all about, play hard but at the end have respect for your opponents,” Viral Kohli said at the post-match ceremony.
Now, India and West Indies will lock horns in the second T20 match on Sunday, December 8, at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.
