Drunk man misbehaves with cop in Jalandhar, tries to run over policeman
Jalandhar: In view of Dussehra, a large number of police officers were deployed in the city. Meanwhile, in the PPR area, an intoxicated youth created a high-voltage drama and misbehaved with police. The drunk youth first tried to run over the policeman, when the policemen tried to stop him, he grabbed the collar of an IPS officer.

According to information, since it was Dussehra day, the Commissionerate Police had made strict security arrangements in the PPR market on Wednesday evening. DCP Ankur Gupta, ADCP Aditya Kumar, ACP Model Town Khushbir Kaur and Head of Police Station Seven Rajesh Kumar Sharma along with heavy police force were present at this blockade. Police officers were checking vehicles parked in the market. Meanwhile, an intoxicated young man named Akhil tried to ram his vehicle into a policeman.
Meanwhile, when ADCP Aditya Kumar tried to stop the young man, he clashed with the ADCP and he put his hands on the ADCP's collar. The ADCP issued orders to take the youth into custody. When the policemen started taking him to the police station, he continued to abuse the policemen. The accused was taken to Civil Hospital for medical examination. The police have registered a case against the youth and started further proceedings.
