DSP Davinder Singh case: NIA raids multiple locations in south Kashmir

DSP Davinder Singh case: National Investigation Agency on Sunday carried out search operation in connection with a case in which a senior Jammu and Kashmir police officer was arrested for taking terrorists outside the valley. Multiple NIA teams conducted raids at some private offices and residences in various parts of south Kashmir. NIA had taken over the case in which Jammu and Kashmir DSP Davinder Singh, who had been suspended, was caught in south Kashmir while taking two terrorists out of the valley on January 11. the search operations come days after NIA ers interrogated all the accused arrested in the case. Besides DSP Davinder Singh, Syed Naveed Mushtaq Ahmed alias Naveed Babu, a self-styled commander of Hizbul Mujahideen,  Rafi Ahmed Rather and Irfan Shafi Mir (who claims to be an advocate, have been arrested. All the accused were arrested from the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway near Qazigund in South Kashmir. Afterwards, Naveed’s brother, Syed Irfan Ahmed, was arrested on January 23 after he was brought from Punjab. Ahmed was in touch with his brother and had asked him to look for an accommodation in Chandigarh. https://www.ptcnews.tv/amritsar-jailbreak-incident-captain-amarinder-singh-punjab-latest-news-en/ Irfan Shafi Mir is said to be a key catch for the NIA as he was allegedly acting on the orders of his masters in Pakistan.
