Dust storm uproots tree; damages two vehicles in Patiala Dust storm in Patiala uproots trees on Wednesday evening, causing damage to two vehicles. A high-velocity dust-storm accompanied by rain hit Punjab and its surrounding areas in Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. There were showers of rain too in certain are, bringing down the temperature. It grew dark in the forenoon as thunderstorm lashed several parts of Punjab, including Zirakpur, Patiala, Muktsar, Rajpura and Ludhiana. There were reports of trees being uprooted on several roads even as vehicles moved at the snail’s pace. Rain lashed Shimla and adjoining areas. -PTC News
