Earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale strikes Nicobar Islands region
An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Nicobar Islands region on Thursday morning. According to the media sources, the earthquake's depth was 6.8 miles southeast of Misha, Nicobar Islands, in the Indian Ocean.

The disaster management control room briefed the media that there were no immediate reports of causalities or damage so far. The people of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands felt the earthquake. It triggered panic among the residents.
