Earthquake of 4.7 magnitude rocks Afghanistan
Kabul (Afghanistan), July 19: An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 shook Afghanistan at 06:40:00 IST on Tuesday, according to the sources.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.7, Occurred on 19-07-2022, 06:40:00 IST, Lat: 33.32 & Long: 69.33, Depth: 170 Km, Location: 137km S of Kabul, Afghanistan," National Centre of Seismology wrote on Twitter.
According to the NCS, the epicentre of the earthquake was registered at a depth of 170 Km. The location of the quake is 137 Km South of Kabul, Afghanistan with latitude and longitude at 33.32 & 69.33, respectively.
So far, no casualties are reported.

Last month, a severe earthquake left over 1000 people dead in Afghanistan along with many injured.
"We have over 1,000 dead and over 1,500 wounded. Many villages were destroyed," Amin Huzaifa, the head of the culture and information department of the Paktika province had said.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the epicentre was 44km from Khost city, and it measured 6.1 on the Richter scale. Search and rescue operations are ongoing and are being led by the de facto authorities.
The disaster came as Afghanistan continues to struggle with a severe economic crisis since the Taliban took over, as US-led international forces withdrew following two decades of war.
