Encounter under way in Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir
An encounter broke out between militants and security forces on Saturday morning in Aripal area of Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama district. The security forces received specific information that some militants were hiding in the region. Also, the internet services in the region were suspended by the authorities.

According to the PTC News, after receiving the information, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the region. The militants fired upon the search party of the security forces during the search operation. The security forces also retaliated and ultimately took the shape of an encounter.
