Avengers Endgame director Joe Russo is against Hollywood’s obsession with the concept of the multiverse, warns that it could result in repetition in comic book films. Recently released Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home opened doors to the multiverse. With Doctor Strange 2, coming up, more stories around the concept of multiple universes can be expected due to which Joe Russo raised worries and expressed his concerns over the multiverse trend going on in the movies nowadays.

At the Design Innovate Communicate Entertain (DICE) summit, Joe Russo gave a speech. There, the director of Avengers: Endgame questioned the concept of repeating trends, notably the multiverse, which permeates the Marvel Cinematic Universe and others.

The expansive concept has already been used in two live-action projects and the animated series.
