The engine of Shimla-bound Himalayan Queen Toy train catches fire on Tuesday afternoon between Koti and Dharampur railway station. Ambala Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Dinesh Chandra told the media sources that they received information around 2:30 pm they rushed the fire tenders to the spot. It took 15 minutes to douse the fire.

After extinguishing the fire, a new engine was sent to the spot and with the help of it, the train resumed its journey. No causalities have been reported so far.

The railway authorities conducted a preliminary investigation, but couldn’t find the exact cause of the fire. At prima facie, it looked like some electrical fault. A detailed investigation has been ordered by the authorities.
