Exams of all school classes postponed in Punjab: Vijay Inder Singla
Punjab School Exams 2021 Postponed: Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Friday said that as Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced that schools and colleges would be closed in the state till March 31, the school education department has also decided to postpone exams of all classes till March 31, 2021.
Vijay Inder Singla said that the Congress government was committed to ensuring the safety of the school students and every possible step will be taken to curb the Covid-19 contamination.

Singla said that the education department would release a fresh schedule and datesheet of exams before March 31 and the mode of examination could also be reviewed as per the situation.
Earlier in the day, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced that the schools and colleges in the state would remain closed till March 31 even as he announced other strict measures as well.

He announced a complete ban on social gatherings besides restricting the other gatherings such as weddings, funerals, and others up to 20.
Likewise, he told all DGPs and health departments to take all those people who do wear masks in public for the Covid test.
Also, the expert health committee's chairman Dr. KK Talwar blamed the reopening of schools and colleges for the sudden surge in coronavirus cases in Punjab.
