Farmer unions to hold meeting after talks with Centre end in a deadlock
Farmers Protest against Farm Laws 2020: After the seventh round of meetings between the Centre and farmers on Monday remained inconclusive, the farmers' organisations will hold a meeting to discuss the further roadmap of farmers' movement at the Singhu border. As per the report, the farmer leader Harinder Singh Lakhowal said that the farmers' unions will hold a meeting on January 5 at 11 am at the Singhu border. "We rejected it and said that there is no point in discussing the laws because we want a complete rollback of the laws. Govt intends to take us towards amendments but we will not accept it," Yudhvir said. Hannan Mollah, General Secretary, All India Kisan Sabha, said that the government was under tremendous pressure. "We all said that the repeal of the laws was our demand. We don't want a discussion on any other topic except for on repeal of the laws. Protests will not be withdrawn until the repeal of laws," Mollah said.
