Lashing out at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, BJP leader Surjit Jyani on Tuesday alleged that the farmers' agitation was sponsored by the Congress. Surjit Jyani alleged that earlier too, farmers shifted their protest to Delhi at the behest of Captain Amarinder Singh and now again he was asking them to shift their dharnas against the three farm laws to Delhi. Jyani asked why the Punjab Chief Minister has raked up this issue after several months. The senior BJP leader alleged that Punjab's economy had already been suffering under the Congress government in the state. Industries were shifting out and and the crime rate was also increasing.
