Farmers announce further strategy to escalate protest against farm laws

Samyukta Kisan Morcha: Farmers Sunday, during a press conference, announced several events to further intensify their protest against the farm laws 2020 even as they accused the central government of resorting to "repressive" measures against them. Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) stated that February 23 will be observed as 'Pagadi Sambhal Diwas' while February 24 will be celebrated as 'Daman Virodhi Diwas'. The above-mentioned events have been called to underline that farmers must be respected and no "repressive measures" should be used against them. Likewise, the Morcha announced that February 26 will be observed as 'Yuva Kisan Diwas' (youth farmers day) and February 27 as 'Mazdoor Kisan Ekta Divas'. "The government is adopting several measures including manipulations including arrests, detentions and registration of cases against the protesters.
