Farmers in Rajasthan bury themselves in pits to protest
A group of farmers in Rajasthan's Sikar partially buried themselves in pits to protest the acquisition of their lands for a toll road. "We are demanding the government to compensate for the losses," Narendra Batad, member of the Sangharsh Samiti told reports. "If our demands are not accepted by the government our protest will intensify day by day," he added. In order to intensify our protest, we ll dig the pits one foot each day. The protest would be carried out every day in the day time till the government listens to us, he said. Batad said on Monday a rally will be taken out to continue the protest. -PTC News
