Female Constable dies in hit and run case in Panchkula A female constable from Chandigarh police died in a hit-and-run accident in Panchkula on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Mamta Yadav (29) who hailed from Sonepat and lived in Panchkula. The accident took place when she was on her way to Chandigarh Panchkula near the Mansa Devi Complex (MDC) T-point. A car hit her from the rear side when she took a turn from the T-point. When she fell on the road, the car driver ran away. The army personnel took her to the Command Hospital, Chandimandir in their vehicle. According to an eye-witness, she was wearing a helmet. She suffered injuries below the waist. Doctors told the media that her condition was critical and she succumbed to her injuries at night.
