Fire breaks out in sleeper coach of Kalka-Howrah Express Train
A fire broke out in the sleeper coach of Kalka Howrah Express train on Tuesday morning near Kurukshetra. The incident took place between Dhirpur to Dhoda Khedi Railway Station, near Kurukshetra. Also ReaD: 500 People Evacuated after Fire Broke out in Greenwich Shopping Centre in Russia
The driver immediately stopped the train and detached the bogie from the train. This prevented the fire from spreading to other bogies. There were only five passengers in that bogie. All five passengers faced breathing difficulties and no causalities have been reported so far.
The police and fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the situation. Passengers facing breathing difficulty were rushed to the nearby hospital. The official told our reporters that prima facie it appears that the fire occurred due to electric short-circuit.

Earlier, a similar incident took place where a fire broke out in a coach of a stationary passenger train on Jhansi Railway station. Authorities told the media sources that the cause of the blaze would be known after investigation. -PTC NEWS
