Football legend Diego Maradona passes away, won Argentina World Cup under his captaincy

The world’s greatest footballer Diego Maradona has passed away. He was 60 years old. Maradona’s lawyer confirmed his death. News agency ANI quoted Reuters as saying that Maradona died of a heart attack. He was discharged from the hospital on the 11th of the same month. He underwent emergency brain surgery and was hospitalized for eight days.

Maradona is counted among the greatest footballers of all time. He also won the Football World Cup of Argentina under his captaincy in 1986. Moreover, he was the first one to appear in the Football World Cup in Spain in 1982, although he was just 21 years old. Despite this, he emerged as the star player of Argentina. He was the captain of the team four years later when Argentina won the World Cup.
