Former Delhi CM Shiela Dikshit appointed as Delhi Congress Chief
With an aim to strengthen the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections this year and the assembly elections of 2020 , three time Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday was appointed as Delhi Congress Chief.

P C Chacko, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) member in charge of Delhi Congress, announced the appointment of Delhi Congress Chief . Devendra Yadav, Rajesh Lilothia, Haroon Yusuf have been appointed as working presidents of Delhi Congress.

Earlier, former Delhi Congress Chief Ajay Maken stepped down from his post as Delhi Congress chief. Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi accepted the resignation of Ajay Maken . Ajay Maken is likely to get a new role in central leadership, sources said.

Meanwhile, former Delhi Chief Ajay Maken took to micro blogging site twitter to Congratulate Sheila Dikshit on her appointment.
