Former IAS Officer Shah Faesal Detained in Delhi, sent back to Kashmir

Former IAS Officer and the founder of People's Movement in Jammu and Kashmir has been detained on the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Shah Faesal has been sent back to Srinagar for to be given the house arrest. As per reports, Shah Faesal was trying to escape and leave the country. Shah has slammed the Indian government over the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, that the people in the valley are "incarcerated" like never before, reported the Quint. Also Read: "Will counter the illegal steps": Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Article 370 The incident has come after the resolution seeking Article 370 to be scrapped was passed by the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. Also, Jammu and Kashmir have been now made Union Territory with Legislative Assembly and the Ladakh made Union Territory without Legislature. This led to the Indian Government to impose Section 144 of CrPC in Jammu and Kashmir to avoid the untoward situation in the valley. -PTC News
