Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif attacked by Mob in London

A Mob in London tried to attack former Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif in London. The Mob reportedly tried to attack the former Prime Minister when he was going inside his son’s residence in Avenfield house. The incident took place on Sunday and the videos of the same have been released by both Dawn and Geo News. Some of the protesters gained access to the apartment. One of them threw a shopping cart at Aijaz Gul, a member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) UK unit. The Metropolitan police reached the site of the incident and dispersed the mob immediately. An investigation has been initiated, but no arrests have been made so far. But police said that a legal action will be taken over the destruction to the private property. Reacting to the incident, Nawaz’s daughter Maryam Nawaz reacted to the incident by blaming Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party for the attack. She said that the incident showed the kind of ‘training’ given to the leader as well as to his supporters. Pakistan-based Dawn News reported that the UK unit of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had dismissed the allegations. They also said that no members of the party were involved in the attack or the protest. The incident came 10 days after the Pakistan accountability court's sentencing of Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain Mohammad Safdar Awan (retd) in the Sharif family's purchase of the upscale property. -PTC News
