Four Dera followers arrested in sacrilege case
Four Dera Sacha Sauda followers have been arrested in sacrilege case. Three were arrested from Punjab and one follower has been arrested from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi on Thursday by Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Punjab Police.
They were arrested in connection with 2015 Guru Granth Sahib Ji baeadbi incident at Gurusar village, Bathinda.
The SIT got a tip-off that the Dera man was returning back from his honeymoon and was accompanied by his wife. Accused arrested from the airport has been identified as Jatinderbir Arora alias Jimmy. He has been granted five-day police remand by Rampura Phul court.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and SIT member Ranbir Singh Khatra told the media sources that the accused were prominent members of Dera Sacha Sauda in Punjab. The police had issued a lookout notice against him.
