Four killed, five injured after being hit by car
At least four people died while five others were injured after a car hit them at Shahapur in Thane district, Maharashtra on Saturday morning. Among the deceased, a 16-year-old boy also died in the accident.

All the deceased and injured were waiting for the bus to travel to Nashik when this accident took place around 7 am near Kihnavali Bridge.
The police was contacted soon after the incident. After being alert, the police rushed to the spot. They rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, Shahapur Rural Hospital. Four of them were declared brought dead. The injured, including a minor girl and a couple were shifted to the Thane Civil Hospital from Shahapur Rural Hospital.

According to the media reports, some of the victims fell off the bridge after being hit by the speeding vehicle. A case has been registered against the driver of the car. Investigations are underway.
