Fraudsters use Punjab DGP VK Bhawra's photo to seek money from official
Chandigarh, June 29: Punjab's Director General of Police VK Bhawra on Tuesday cautioned people of unidentified persons using his photo as profile pic for fake accounts. The Punjab DGP took to his official Twitter handle and announced that fraudsters were using his photo to seek money from officials and asked those contacted to not succumb to the fraud and report the matter to the cyber police. "Some fraudsters have used my DP to send messages to Deputy Commissioners from mobile number +91-74369-06364. I would like to inform that this number is not being used by me. Please report to Cyber Crime Punjab at aigcc@punjabpolice.gov.in," he tweeted.
