Free Covid-19 vaccination for adults in India from today: Free coronavirus vaccines would be made available to states for COVID-19 vaccination of all above the age of 18 from Monday, June 21, as per the announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The move is aimed to provide free coronavirus vaccines to all adults in India to give a boost to the COVID-19 vaccination drive. As of June 21, India has administered over 30 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines. This is being done in line with the central government's decision to distribute doses to states. India launched the vaccination drive against Covid-19 on January 16 this year.
