Gang of extortionists busted in Delhi
Delhi police today busted a gang of extortionists who blackmailed five elderly men in the last one month. The gang members were arrested during their attempt to honey trap another 70-year-old man. A gang of seven people used to film intimate videos of their target and then blackmailed them with fake rape cases. The gang members were arrested from Hari Nagar in West Delhi.

Gang’s latest victim:
The gang’s latest victim was a private contractor with a well known private company. He came in contact with a 25-year-old woman. They both kept talking over WhatsApp. They both decided to meet after the woman pressurized him to meet her. The victim along with his friend (54) went to a rented home in Tilak Nagar. The woman too had come with another female friend. The victim and the woman entered a room and the other woman locked the room from outside.

Some moments later, three men and two women forcibly entered into the room. They falsely implicated both the men in a rape case. They also recorded a video and blackmailed to release it to their families. The elderly men were carrying Rs 10,000 with them, which the gang took away. The gang then held the elderly man captive and asked the other man to fetch the ransom of Rs 20 lakh. The man somehow managed to escape and alert the local police.
The police then nabbed all the members of the gang. The police briefed the media that the gang would only target wealthy and elderly men.
