Gang Rape Chandigarh: Cops announce Rs 1 lakh reward for information
The Chandigarh Police have announced a reward of Rs 1 Lakh for the information about the accused leading to their arrest, after having failed to make any significant progress in the case of the 22-year-old’s gang rape. Though the CCTV footage gave away the face of one of the accused, they have eluded the police, who claim to have checked thousands of auto-rickshaws in and around the city. The police have stated that they are checking the CCTV footage of other petrol pumps in the city as well to get another glimpse of the accused and his auto-rickshaw. The police have not been able to get any complete picture showing the registration number of the vehicle. Police officials said they had some clues about the other two accused as well and and were hopeful of identifying them soon. -PTC News
